He was predeceased by: his aunt Martha; his uncle William Schimke; his sons-in-law, John Tjapkes and Rich Auw; and his grandson Dustin Tjapkes.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Auw, Julie Anderson (Brian), Lori Wathen (Bruce) and Jeffrey Briske; his significant other Karen Pierce; his grandchildren, Cole Tjapkes, Sheila Tjapkes, Jennifer Becksvoort (Randall), Colin Kingsbury (Jennifer), Samuel Wathen, Doug Briske and Bryan Briske; and his brother Richard Briske (Cynthia). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
