We are sad to announce that on September 14, 2022, at the age of 72, Jane Evelyn Bates of North Branch, Michigan, born in Brown City, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Soldan and Doris Soldan (Ryckman). She is survived by: her husband Tom Bates; her daughters, Dana Thomason and Victoria Bates; her grandsons, Colton Kitts (Amy), Garrett Kitts, Braden Vallee, Thomas Vallee, Julian Freiburger and Alex Freiburger; her great grandchildren, Annberlyn Kitts and Ryker Kitts; her brother Jim Soldan (Connie); her aunt Betty Lamiman; and her cousins, Alice and Craig.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jane's name may be directed to North Branch American Legion Post 457 or North Branch Quest High School.
