He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Evick and Lena Evick (Doeher); and his siblings, Melvin, Clayton Evick and Shirley Killarney.

He is survived by: his significant other Helen; his children, Sandra Blackburn (Gary) of Byron Center and Larry Martin (Millie) of Niles; his grandchildren, Holly Berry of Niles, Amy Nielsen (Brett) of Byron Center, Scott Martin (Lisa) of Niles and Brooke Hinkle (Chris) of Niles; and his great grandchildren, Madison, Dakota, Jordan, Carter, Nick, Hunter, Kylie, Will, Max, Drew and Bobby. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.

Memorial donations may be made in Dick's name to Elara Caring Network or Huntly Baptist Church.
