She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Thomas and Eva Thomas (Johnson); her husband William S. Hoese; her siblings, Gerald Thomas, David Thomas, Major Dean Thomas, Bessie Barrett, Fred Thomas, Mary Welch, Scharlotte Beecher, Clarence Thomas, Dorothy Kiggins and Joyce Andrews; and her son William Hoese, Jr. (Margaret).

She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth Thompson (Timothy) of Orlando and Holly Pomranka (Rex) of Niles; her granddaughters, Paige, Meg and Emma Pomranka; and her siblings, Eva Hunt, Mary Dannis, Elaine Shefsick (Norm) and Frank Hoese (Dorothy 'Dobbie'). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
