He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde M. Mitchell and Tressa V. Mitchell (Stanard); his grandchildren, Donald Mitchell III and Victoria Page Mitchell; and his great grandchild Anthonyissac Lee Eaton.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Mitchell; his children, Donald Mitchell, Jr. (Renee) of Lawton, Faith Biggs (Earl) of Plant City, Bradford Mitchell of Cassopolis, Wendy Stayton (Dave) of Oldsmar, Lisa Eaton (Doug) of Mishawaka, Laurie Yeung of Kokomo, Brett Mitchell of Niles, Toby Mitchell, D. C. of Granger and Caroline Hall (Kenneth) of Las Vegas, Nevada; and his brother Jim Mitchell of Flint. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
