He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Donald Alter and Dorothy Alter; his wife Susan; his children, Michael Alter (Andrea) and Donna Dehn (Christopher); his grandfathers, Michael Alter Jr., Mitchell Alter, Nicholas Alter, Jonathan Dehn and David Dehn (Anna); his granddaughter Lillian Nguyen; and his siblings, Mary Dehn (David) and John Alter. He was also cherished by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
