He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Carlson and Violet Carlson (Johnson); his brothers, Ken and Dick Carlson; his sisters-in-law, Bernice and Marge Carlson; his great grandchild Lydia Carlson; his parents-in-law, Jacob and Lydia Saari; and his pets, Fonzie, Mattie, Ginger and Timmy.
He is survived by: his wife Mavis Carlson; his children, Debbie Hampton (Greg), Steven Carlson (Cindi), Paul Carlson (Char) and Amy Jones (Jeff); his grandchildren, Daniel Carlson (Mically), Damion Carlson (Samantha), Adam Rackley, Aryne Rackley, Sheena Carlson, Derick Carlson (Michaela), Tyler Romback (Nikki), Aubri Romback, Nicole Carlson, Evan Carlson, Cody Antos and Greyson Jones; his brothers, Neil, Bob (Carol), Roger and Jim 'Boney' Carlson (Diane); his sisters-in-law, Marie Carlson and Kate Peterson; and his pet Candy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
