He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Skytta and Sophie Skytta (Koski); his wife Betty, 3rd (Frances); his children, Albert Skytta and Cathy Starkey; his siblings, Karen Williams, Arnold and Douglas Skytta; and his stepchildren, Darryl Skytta and Nancy Haanpaa.
He is survived by: his son Dennis Skytta (Carla) of Michigamme; his brother Raymond Skytta (Susan) of Flint; and his stepchildren, Lynn Sprangers (Bruce) of Brookfield, WI, Arlene Kemppainen of L'Anse, MI, Michael Salo (Sue) of Bradenton, FL and Curtis Skytta (Melony) of Humboldt. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Due to current restriction with the COVID-19 pandemic, a private funeral service will be held at Our Redeem Lutheran Church in Champion with Paul Peterson officiating.
