She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Leland Havener and Ruth Sturdevant Havener (Hyman); her husband Marvin Kent Verus; her siblings, Eva Shumaker (Leroy), Jill Hastings, Dorothy Brown (John) and Dennis; her brother-in-law John Brown; her aunts, Annabelle Kirk, Dorothy Partridge and Bernice Smith; and her uncle Vernal Havener.
She is survived by: her close friends, JoAnn Moore (Kreh), Dick Moore and Marvin Verus; her sons, Brett Lee Verus (Sandi), Michael Kent Verus (Rica) and Jimmy Dane Verus (Gina); and her friends, Betty Colegrove of Yuma, AZ, Sandy Mosteller of Hastings and Marsha McCarty of Hastings. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews.
