He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett McQuern and Edith McQuern (Evans); his siblings, Colleen Wetzel and Jerry McQuern; his son James Theodore McQuern, Jr.; and his granddaughter Angela Hope Schantz.
He is survived by: his children, Colleen McQuern, Naomi McQuern (Susan Hoffman) and Samuel McQuern (Suzy DeBruyn); and his sister Marilyn Keagle (Glenda Geldersma). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
