He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Bishop Lawson and Ruth Lawson (Stokes); his siblings, Bill Lawson, Marion "Pete" Lawson, Barbara Burnell, Virginia Crippen and Jane McIntyre; and his daughter Marlene Diane "Sunny" Shreve.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Earl Lawson (Melinda) of Nashville, Michigan and Sharon Raye Gerlach of Idaville, Indiana; his siblings, Dorothy Jovanovich of Clinton, Indiana and Leland "Skip" Lawson (Sandee) of Covington, Indiana; his grandchildren, Angelica Marie Govaert, Amanda Diane Konrath (Ryan), Christopher Kyle Springer (Matison), David Allen Springer (Amanda), Geoffrey Colton Smith (Liz Brooks), Sophia Grace Lawson, Samantha Ruth Lawson and Kenzie May Enano Lawson; and his great grandchildren, Skyler Christopher Springer, Sierra Raye Springer, Gracie Mae Springer and Oliver Ray Smith.
