He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Oliver and Ellen Louise Johnson (Barratt); his sister Doris; his brother-in-law Robert Heinritz; his brother Barratt Johnson; his brother-in-law Herb Schoepke; and his niece Kathy Heinritz.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Johnson; his children, Elizabeth "Beth" Johnson (Richard Hintze) of Brooklyn, NY, Barratt "Barry" Johnson (Lynn Duval) of Kennesaw, GA, Lori Johnson of South Bend, IN and John Johnson (Karri Allen) of Lansing; his grandchildren, Claire, Jack, Barratt Jr., Hailey, Ashley, Ellie and Charles; and his sister Patricia Schoepke of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Lansing's Old News Boys or Sacred Heart Parish.
