He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Scully and Lena Yachovitz (Thomas); his son Robert Paul "Bobby" Scully; and his sister Barbara Kieffer. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Scully (Webster); his children, Michael Scully (Stephanie), Dawn Shimmons, Steven Freeland (Kelly), Matthew Freeland and Lisa Wylie (Eric); and his sister Penny Clark (Dave). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
