He was predeceased by: his parents, Kathleen H. Lucas and William C. Lucas; and his brother William Charles Lucas III. He is survived by: his children, Sarah Lynn Briggs Armstrong and Douglas William Briggs II; his grandchildren, Tyler, Brian, Breanna, Gavin and Alaina; his great grandchildren, Maisie, Kyrie, Abigail, Kinsley and Zane; and his siblings, Lori, Darin, Alicia and Billie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
