He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudolph Kohler and Alta Kohler (Held); his wife Pat; his brother-in-law Jay Ferguson; and his nephew Jason Ferguson.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Kohler (Melinda) of Newport, MI, Kevin Kohler (Virginia) of Newport, MI and Cheryl Reinneck (Glenn) of Mascoutah, IL; his stepson Bradley VanWassehnova of Monroe; his siblings, Richard Kohler (Susan) of Monroe, Carol Kiefer (Bill) of Ottawa Lake, MI, Alan Kohler (Theresa) of Monroe and Marilyn Ferguson of Monroe; his grandchildren, Jacob Kohler (Brittany), Angie Pauwels (Rick), Steven Kohler (Crystal), Brandi Hales, Gregory Hales, Sara Breitner (Mikey), Courtnie Gerdes (Braxton), Corey Kohler (Marissa Todd), Jennifer Deschaw, Jessica VanWassehnova (Jimmy Wright), Jodi VanWassehnova (Michael Rogers) and Gabi Bussell; and his great grandchildren, Cashton, Ryan, Anastasia, Luca, Madison, Elizabeth, Mila, Maci, Kenidy, Cadence, Lola, Parker, Ethan and Reggie.
