We are sad to announce that on January 2, 2024, at the age of 90, Shirley J. Matthews of Monroe, Michigan, born in Massillon, Ohio passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley J. Matthews to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifton Crowell-Eckroad and Catherine Crowell-Eckroad (Belding); and her siblings, Donald Crowell, Lois Schwagler (Crowell), Zane Eckroad and James Crowell.
She is survived by: her children, Laura Matthews of Monroe, Karen Greenwood (Randy) of Livonia, MI and Paul Matthews (Karole) of Monroe; and her grandchildren, Alexa Matthews, Lillian Greenwood, Clayton Greenwood (Kerry), Ryan Matthews, Jade Donnelley (David) and Brenna Brancart (Jesse). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Christ Lutheran Church or to the Frenchtown Senior Center/Adult Daycare Program.
