He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Nykodym and Mary Ann Nykodym (Patek); and his sister Sharon Williams (Nykodym). He is survived by: his son Zachary Nykodym; his wife Barbara Nykodym (Mastie); his daughter-in-law April Nykodym; his sister Mary Jo Griewahn (Nykodym); his brother-in-law Michael Griewahn of Monroe; his niece Blair Griewahn; his nephew-in-law Alfred Chimoski of Suttons Bay, Michigan; his nephew Thomas Williams of Britton; his aunt Dawn Knisel of Montclova, Ohio; and his cousin Kim "Slim" Gillen. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gulf-to-Bay for the purchase of a palm tree in Tony's name at the Pavilion.
