He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn "Bunny" Schultz (Johnson); his parents, Cecil Schultz and Bernice Schultz; his brother Paul Schultz; and his granddaughter Rosemarie Schultz.
He is survived by: his sons, Kurt Schultz (Sandy Dungan), Eric Schultz and Chris Schultz (Christy Moscheck); and his grandchildren, Dalton Schultz, Christopher Schultz and Catherine Schultz.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. John's Lutheran Church and School in Waltz in David's memory.
