He was predeceased by: his parents, Norma J. Hume and Keith G. Hume. He is survived by: his wife Sarah L. Hume; his stepchildren, Noel Snyder, Jay Snyder and Glen Snyder (Kara); and his grandchildren, Adrian and Kalen.
