He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Kooiman and Mona Kooiman (Crakes); his son Keith Jr.; and his siblings, Richard Kooiman, Edward Kooiman, Gert Vormittag, Elinor Kruger and Donald Kooiman.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Kooiman (Bullen); his children, Darla Whitney, Kim Peterson (Tom), Teresa Steenhagen (Terry), Luke Kooiman (Becky) and Julia Rumbergs (Ed); his daughter-in-law Deana Kooiman; his grandchildren, Michele, Stacia, Jami, Michael (Lacey), Lori (Ben), Erica (Daniel), Dayna (Carl), Michelle, Resa, William, Rachel, Stephanie, Nathan, John and Ethan; and his brother Martin "Bud" Kooiman. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving extended family and friends.
