He was predeceased by: his stepmother Vera McNinch (Bellamy); his stepchildren, Michael Hobson and Gregory Hobson; his grandson Forest Hobson; and his sister Cherilyn McNinch.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn; his sons, David (Patricia) of Mayville, James (Jamilah) of Duluth, GA and John of Flint; and his stepson Stephen Hobson (Sue) of Bridgeport. He is also survived by ten grandchildren: and three great grandchildren.
