He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Blackmer and Nellie Blackmer (Derocher); his siblings, Robert Blackmer (Gloria), Ernest Blackmer, Mildred Tompkins (Jack) and Margaret Harmon; and his sister-in-law Diana Blackmer.
He is survived by: his wife Sheryl Thorp Blackmer of Bushnell, FL; his children, Anthony James Blackmer of Caro, MI and Jamie Beals (Patrick) of Muskegon, MI; his siblings, Edwin of Millington, MI, Rick Blackmer and Sue Marlow (Tom) of Mayville, MI; and his siblings-in-law, Roger Harmon and Kathy Blackmer.
