She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Louis Petersen and Ellen Petersen (Porter); her children, Donald Petersen and Ruth Young (Petersen); her spouse Dewey MacDonald; and her children, Una Rockwell (Jan, James Figgins), Barbara, Ellen Mahan (Kail, Harold Figgins), Janice and Ruth Figgins. She was also cherished by nine children, 24 grandchildren, and 35 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
