He is survived by: his wife Iris Katers (Gilson); his daughter Laura Reilly (Patrick); his grandsons, Michael and Matthew of Marquette; his son John Katers (Jessica); his grandchildren, Adam and Leah of Livonia; his siblings, Pat Engebos (Clyde), Susan Bennington (John), Greg Katers (Etta), Doug Katers (Stephanie) and Kathy Sloan (Walt); and his brother-in-law Steve Katers (Karen Dorn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
