It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Thornburg of Mancelona, Michigan, born in Kalkaska, Michigan, who passed away on December 11, 2021, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Darwin Thornburg and Helen Thornburg (Seiting); and his brother Owen Thornburg. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Thornburg (Schmitt); his son Tyler Thornburg of Mancelona; his stepson Eric Klein (Erin) of Hutto, TX; and his siblings, Glen Thornburg of Bellaire, Amanda Kibby of Kewadin and Isabel Gaylord (Jim) of Rapid City.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
