She was predeceased by: her parents, Allan McDonald and Margaret McDonald (McPhail); her husband William McDowell; her grandchildren, Henry and Michelle; and her siblings, Margaret Smoots (late William), Eileen Kuhn (late John) and Allen McDonald (Brenda).

She is survived by: her children, Pamela Purdy (Jim), Dennis (Jeanie), Craig, David (Donna), Linda McCallister (late Darryl), Renee Nixon (Don) and Steve (late Sue); her grandchildren, Debbie, Tim, Chris, Bonnie, Gabe of Shelby, T. J., Shannon, Jennifer Cobb, Karen, Brandon, Mike, Kyle and Jacob; her great grandchildren, Dylan, Zac, Alex, Olivia, Evelyn, Conner, Morgan, Bryce, Nathan, Tylor, Kaylee, Cale, Ashley, Samantha, Ayden and Luisa; and her brother Tom McDonald (Patty).

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the family for donation at a later date.
