He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Piasecki and Marie Piasecki; and his sister Carol Chupa. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Harwood; his children, Jeffrey Sands (Liz) and Pamela Sands; his grandchildren, Samantha Hostetler (Brian), Jeffrey Sands, Katherine Sands and Gabriella Sands; and his great grandchild Cooper Sands-Richards. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
