He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Joan Smith; his daughters, Patty Terryn (Jim), Janet Raspotnik (Dean) and Karen Larsen (Bruce); his stepdaughters, Barbara Galeana (Carl), Cindy Urban and Nancy Urban; his grandchildren, Jamie Eager (Nick), Billy Terryn (Jill), Ryan Raspotnik (Alex), DJ Raspotnik (Alecia), Deana Schigur (Trevor) and Logan Larsen; his stepgrandchildren, Holly Dodt (Rich) and Derek Wilson (Kate); his brother Gilbert Charpie; his son Daniel; his foster parents, German, Charpie and Chuck Smith; and his former wife Martha Herrick. He was also cherished by five great grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.
