It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Jay Carlson of Ludington, Michigan, born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, who passed away on September 23, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Carlson and Loraine Carlson (Rottler); and his sister Karen. He is survived by: his wife Susan Mary Irwin; his sons, James Carlson of Lansing and Michael Carlson of Ludington; his grandchildren, Reese, Natalie and Wesley; and his siblings, Dan Carlson of Grand Rapids and Cynthia Carlson of Omaha, Nebraska. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
