He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter James and Mae Bond French; his wife Lucille Ortenzi; his daughter Barbara Gernant; and his sons-in-law, John Curran and Paul Gernant.
He is survived by: his daughters, Mary Curran, Catherine Burch (Michael) and Lucy O'Brien (Daniel); and his grandchildren, Mary, Douglas, Keelan, Kyle and Toban. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
