He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert J. Swan, Sr. and Leola Swan (Stevens); his wife Colleen F. Swan (Yeiter); his daughter Leanna; and his son-in-law Tom Wernet.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cathy Ormiston of Belding, Laurie Wernet of Lowell and Lynette Salzwedel (Jim) of Lowell; his grandchildren, Heather Merren (Pete) of Greenville, Jason Ormiston of Greenville, Mac Wernet of Lowell, Mike Wernet (Kelly) of Byron Center and Tyler Salzwedel of Holland; his great grandchildren, Henry, Owen Merren of Greenville, Griffin and Paige Wernet of Byron Center; and his sister Jean Robinson of Grand Rapids. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.
