He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Andrea Hume and Douglas Richardson (Susan); his grandchildren, Lauren, Gabriella, Ava and Angelina; his brother John Richardson (Claire); his nieces, Jane Erhardt (Jeffery) and Laura Rathkamp (Paul); and his son-in-law Richard Hume.
