She was predeceased by: her parent Eugene Lathrop; her husband Laurence "Larry" Gorton; her son Daniel Gorton; her grandson Jason Ross; and her brothers, Robert Lathrop and Eugene Lathrop.

She is survived by: her parent Olive Lathrop (Sischo); and her children, Debra Lindsey (James) of Keystone Heights, FL, Steven Gorton of Linden, Bryan Gorton of Flint, Jeffrey Gorton and Gregory Gorton (Sarah) of Flint Twp.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel Baptist Church.
