She was predeceased by: her son Edmund Edward DeSmet Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Edmund Sr.; and her children, JoAnne Marie Waldoff (Michael), Barbara Ann Ouillet (Richard), William James DeSmet (Sheri), Patrick Michael DeSmet and Tracy Stouten. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, three sisters and one brother.
