She was predeceased by: her aunt Verda Ward. She is survived by: her parents, Melvin Ward and Gertrude Ward (Fowler); her sons, Edward and David Cox; her siblings, Brenda Ward Hammon, Patricia Ward Beins and Melvin Ward; and her former husband Jimmy Chase. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
