He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Jenkins and Janie Jenkins; his son Richard Green; and his siblings, Florie Valentine and Otis Jenkins.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jenkins; his children, Tereta Green, Denard Jenkins and Sylvia Hansberry (Elijah); his stepchildren, Shelton E. Rivers, Sean E. Rivers and Dr. Angel Rivers; his sister Willa Mae Lewis; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Jenkins. He is also survived by grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
