He is survived by: his mother Janice Burkhardt, Sr. (Jancar); his wife Martha; his sons, Steven Burkhardt (Laurie) of Kalamazoo and David Burkhardt of Lapeer; his grandchildren, Iris and Piper; his father Frederick Burkhardt,; and his siblings, Stacy Moyer (Larry), Marianne Schlaud (Mark), Janet Burkhardt and Andy Burkhardt (Michelle). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the St. Jude Children's Hospital.
