With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Floyd Theodore Wessel of Lapeer, Michigan, who passed away on November 30, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Wessel and Elizabeth Wessel (Preiss); and his brothers, Ted Wessel and John (Florence Wessel). He is survived by: his children, Stephen Wessel (Amee) of Lapeer, Michael Wessel (Bea-Ellen) of Memphis, Suzanne Coats (Nathan) of Avoca and Jennifer Norwood (Shawn) of Holly; his grandchildren, Austen Murphy, Aubree Murphy, Brittany Wilson (TJ), Aurora Wessel, Owen Coats, Olivia Coats, Gabe Coats, Andrew Norwood and Christopher Norwood; his former wife Elgia Wessel; his siblings, Ed Wessel (MaryBeth), Betty, Jeannie, Dolly, Bernadine Stenz (Dave), Joey Kruse (Ken), Buzz Wessel and Bob Wessel (Ruth); and his sister-in-law Veronica Wessel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial Donations made in Floyd's name will be used for causes supporting mental health and awareness.
