Janice M. (Karkau) Thompson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 27, 2023, at the age of 86, Janice M. (Karkau) Thompson of Lansing, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Karkau and Eva Karkau; and her siblings, Lawrence, Thomas, Robert, John (Joe), William, Rudy, Herbert, Brian Karkau and Doris Sharp.
She is survived by: her husband Lawrence M. Thompson; her children, Catherine Bradley (Courtland), Cynthia Kost (Peter Zanaboni) and Michael Thompson (Darlene); her grandchildren, Michael Kost, Kyle Kost, Nicole Kost and Brooke Thompson; and her sister Fearne Preston (Carl).
She made many lap quilts which were donated to veterans in Texas, baby quilts to Texas hospitals for new mothers and the lucky few who received full sized quilts for their home.
