He is survived by: his mother Bessie Benson; his children, Raina Grove, James Benson Jr., Dominic Torp, Na'Aaliyah Benson, Sema'J Benson and JJ Benson; his grandchildren, Raiden Grove and Javier Caldwell; and his siblings, Deborah Benson, Maurice Benson, Samuel Benson and Tonnette Benson. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces.
