He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomelia Roper and Theodore Roper (Thomelia Roper). He is survived by: his children, Keith Megginson (Rina), Kirk Megginson, James Roper, Theodore Roper (Nana), Herschel Roper, Beschelle Lockhart (Michael Fauble), Talia Richardson (Xenos), Keowa Vasquez (Gilbert) and Kyre Blair (Jonathan); and his siblings, Emma Barber, Gary Roper (Charlotte) and Sally Murchison. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
His academic pursuits culminated with the completion of all PhD coursework from Michigan State University, a milestone that reflected his passion for continuous growth and contribution to society.
