She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Budnik and Elodese Crystal Budnik (Rice); her husband Elmer "Pud" Niemela of Sebastian's Catholic Church; her brothers, Walter and Joseph; and her grandson Daniel Garland.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Niemela (Patricia) of Haslett, Christopher Niemela of Haslett, Julie Niemela of Grand Rapids and Lori Garland of Howell; her grandchildren, Jason Garland (Stephanie) of Greenville, Dr. Jacob Lupini of Southgate and Daniel' (Chelsea) of Howell; and her great grandchildren, Nolan, Isabelle, Collin, Camryn and Sawyer.
