He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Kraining Behrenwald and Charlotte Louise Behrenwald (Van Antwerp); and his sister-in-law Mary Behrenwald (Raush). He is survived by: his wife Marlene Behrenwald; his daughters, Sonya Dillon (Brian) of Lakeview, Alisha Bigler (Jeff) of Lakeview, Jill Bartolo (Shaun) of Greenville and Amy Yepez (Enrique) of Bradenton, FL; his grandchildren, Erica Behrenwald, Isabel Dillon, Nicholas Bartolo, Miguel Yepez, Aurelia, Nicole Holbrook and Arianna Bartolo; and his siblings, Donald Behrenwald of Sparta, Gordon Behrenwald (Susan) of Lakeview and Judy Flachs (Ronald) of Hickory Corners, MI.. He is also survived by 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
