He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Carpenter and Mildred Carpenter (Stephens); his son David Ptacek; and his siblings, James, David and Signe.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Kaye Graham; his great grandchild Zaidan; his children, Joe Carpenter (Pam) of Imlay City, Jim Ptacek (Kim) of Flint, Jacki White (Toivo) of Indian River, Heidi Carpenter of White Pine and Sherril Zupp (John) of Marysville, OH; and his siblings, Tom, Dick Carpenter and Phyllis Johnson. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren.
In accordance with the State of MI mandated executive order regarding Covid 19 protocol, face coverings and social distancing will be enforced.
