He was predeceased by: his parents, John and Jacoba; his siblings, George, Jane Quist (Harold) and Henrietta Westmaas; his brothers-in-law, Maurice Hamming and Phil Zuidema (Beth); and his son-in-law Mark Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Alvis; his children, Jan Taylor (Ken), Susan Lucas, Linda Smith, Bonnie Beals (Dan) and Allan Lucas (Kathy); his grandchildren, Chad Taylor (Lori), Kelly Richardson, Heather Adrianse (Mike), K. J. Taylor (Danielle), Matthew Smith (Missy), Jason Smith (Claudia), Donna Wamhoff (Tim), Danny Beals (Ashley), Jenifer Craft (Rusty), Stacey Beals, Denise Beals, Wayne Beals, Lynae Gernaat (Ty) and Dylan Lucas; his sisters, Freda Eisenga (Bruce) and Joan Hamming; and his siblings-in-law, Ken Westmaas and Myra Holliday. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
