Stanton Jay Strickland Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stanton Jay Strickland (Lake Odessa, Michigan), who passed away on March 16, 2022, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Strickland and Mary Mildred Strickland (Lancaster); his son Steven Strickland; his wife Helen Mutschler-Durkee; his siblings, Lawrence Strickland, Rex Strickland and Marcia Steeby (Strickland); his stepchildren, Lois Jackson (Durkee) and Robert Durkee; and his son-in-law Robert Mayhew.
He is survived by: his stepdaughter Carolyn Mayhew (Durkee-Bailey); his daughter-in-law Pam Strickland; his parents-in-law, Wayne Jackson and Marian Durkee; his grandchildren, Amanda Crump (Jerad), Derek Strickland (Audrey) and Joel Strickland (Crystal); and his stepgrandchildren, Tery Holly (Bailey), Kevin Durkee (Amaya), Kyle Durkee (Heather), Jan Jackson (Joey), Kenneth Jackson and Barbara Clement (Jackson). He is also survived by many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
