He is survived by: his wife Christi Lynn Peterson; his children, Melissa Wheeler of Cadillac, Michael Bergey of Lake City, Joshua Bergey of Utah and Jacob Bergey of Lake City; his grandchildren, Nathaniel (Danielle), Alexis, Hayden, Ethan, Koby, Zachary, Leo and McKartlee; and his siblings, Danial Cochrane of Jackson, Jamie Hall of Madison Heights and Elaine Gallop (Bill) of Lake City.
