With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Stanek of Kingsford, Michigan, born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 10, 2023 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Stanek and Victoria Stanek (Rysiewicz); his brothers, Stanley and Robert Stanek; his grandson Matt Neumann; and his son-in-law Tom Loomis.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Sleik; his sons, Mark Stanek (Annette), Ron Stanek (Mary McNamara), Dan Stanek (Christina) and Scott Stanek; his stepchildren, Mark Sleik (Amy Carpenter), David Sleik (Sandy Fontecchio), Wendy Sleik (Dino Watts) and Sherry Huettl (Brooke); his grandchildren, Sarah Kane (John), Matthew, Austin, Samuel, Ryan, Alex Stanek, Vanessa Mitchell (Jeff), Erica Coda (Tim), Dustin, Amanda Sleik, Tony Sleik (Shannon), Melissa Wilson (Steve Solberg), Sydney Lobner (Becky Wolverton) and Jacob Lobner (Olivia Oliver); his great grandchildren, Jamison, August, Kaelyn, Jace, Jaxon, David, Paige, Eleanor, Oliver and Malia; and his close friends, Edith Sleik, Melissa Sleik, Sarah Recla and Brian Lobner. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters in-law, nieces and cousins.
