He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Lange and Bernadine Lange. He is survived by: his daughter Amber Schafnitz-Sherman (Darren); his grandchildren, John, Lela, Clare, Zane, Evalynn, Jack and Sarabeth; and his sisters, Christine Lange and Louise Parrish (Michael). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
