He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Kogler and Eva Kogler (Cooper); his grandson John Carl Mazurkiewicz III; and his siblings, Jimmy Kogler and Nancy Kogler.
He is survived by: his partner Billie Mazurkiewicz; his grandchildren, Alayna Shook, Aaryn Shook and John Carl Mazurkiewicz IV; his brother Dick Kogler (Ethel); his nephew Richard Kogler; and his pets, Bambi and Peppy.
